Fusion Festival

Far away from everyday life, a very special kind of parallel society is created for five days. In a collective state of exception, a carnival of the senses unfolds in a place without time, reflecting the longing for a better world.

But because there is nowhere where people are free, it is precisely the union of fusionists from all countries and vacation communism that makes us feel that we want more than what we are offered in this life.

Since 2020 I'm part of the Seebühnen-Crew organised by Kulturflut Skanadloes e.V. I started by helping with the light design and overall construction of the stage and became deeper involved with every year. Since 2023 I started with the Design and Planning of the entire stage and became something you would call a Art Director in different contexts. This is our stage / dancefloor 2023:

It is entirely self designed and self build within a few days by a fixed crew of volunteers. Also during the festival we run the stage on our own. In the months leading up to the festival we take care of all aspects of production from shift planning to artist bookings. Every two years the entire stage is redesigned - you probably wouldn't recognize Seebühne again. This is how the stage looks during construction:
