Light design projects
UNTITLED (Ballerrahmen #2)
UNTITLED (Ballerrahmen #2) is an immersive light installation. Constructed from 300 directional LEDs
and 1.5 m2 of etched polystyrene foam, together with the sinusoidal movement, plays of light and
shadow are formed, causing the material to melt before the viewer's eye.
In the second version of the Ballerrahmen, the material is highly synthetic, but the effect remains the same:
Is the material still physical or already digitally generated?
UNTITLED (Ballerrahmen)
UNTITLED (Ballerrahmen) is an immersive light installation. Constructed out of white colored pieces of bark
and directional LEDs, the material melts before the viewer's eye and appears fluid. The
sine wave motion of the lights causes the shadows to flicker and the certainty of the bark's
nature to evaporate.
In the first version of the Ballerrahmen, the material is of a completely natural origin, but we still wonder:
is the material yet physical or already digitally generated?
Designed and built together with Jens Mysliwietz.
Second Sun
"Second Sun" is a video mapped mirror ball. The targeted projection onto individual mirror surfaces and
the beam-shaped reflection result in complex light sculptures.
Monitore
"Monitore" is a video installation at the Chaos Office. The project was built almost entirely from found materials within a few days.
Besides my own cinematic experiments, the installation is regularly controlled by various VJs.
